The contemporary (Western) management concepts of vision, leadership, motivation, and excellence in work, achieving goals, giving work meaning, decision making and preparation, are well researched and executed but failed miserably.
The greed is a much more basic and far better justification than the essentials of economics and the effect of government policy on economic choices. Misses the point that many people and companies are motivated to increase their state and this force is obviously on the job. Why did greed abruptly cause this tragedy? What let it escape control. While Western management thought too often deals with problems at material, external and peripheral levels, the Bhagavad-Gita tackles the problems from the grass roots level of human thinking. Gita doesn’t prohibit looking for money, ability, amenities, wellbeing. It recommends active pursuit of a person’s aims without becoming attached to this procedure and the outcomes.
The outcome is that, while huge funds have been invested in building temples of modem management education, no perceptible changes are visible in the improvement of their overall quality of life although the standards of living of a few has gone up.
